We See Love

We See Love
@Jim Grubbs/Rick Lang

V1
He looks down upon his weathered and, and the dirt beneath his nails
Feeling every ache and pain, as his aging body fails
Sees a man whose less than perfect, not what he set out to be
Tries to hide his disappointment, from his wife and family

Chorus 1
But they see love….in the man they look up to
They see love…in a heart that’s trued and true
They see love in every cut and scrape, every line upon his face
No one in the world could ever take his place…..they see love

V2
She’s passing by the mirror, not liking what she sees
Hard work and sacrifice, she’s been all she could be
She knows she’s less than perfect, she still wants to turn his head
But the truth ain’t always pretty, so she turns away instead

Chorus 2
But he sees love….in the wife he still looks up to
He sees love…in a heart that’s tried and true
He sees love in every silver hair, line upon her face
In the depths of his soul she cannot be replaced… he sees love

V3
Sixty years of photographs are hanging on the wall
And a picture of our Savior on the cross, He gave all
On the sofa they sit hand in hand, looking back on what they’ve done
With Gods help they raised a family, two daughters and four sons

Chorus 3
And we see love in the eyes of all the children
We see live in the parents who protect them
In the God whose always at their side, whose light will always be their
guide
We see love
