God sends down the words, we’re nothing but a vessel

Writer does his best to make ‘em flow 

When the work is finished, we might take all the credit 

But without the Blessed Lord above, there would be no song

Writin’ comes much easier, since I let my Savior in

When I’m stuck Gods sends new ideas all the time 

As I’m working on a song to praise His name 

When I run into trouble with the meter or the rhyme 

He makes it work, knows what I’m trying to say

God sent down every word that’s written in the Bible 

Mathew, Mark and John just wrote ‘em down 

God helps the preacher write the sermon every Sunday 

Words come so fast, spins their head around
