Mountain Fever
@Rick Lang/Lynna & Jim Woolsey
V1
I was raised up in the mountains, near the timber line
In an old log cabin made of spruce and pine
The sound of rippling waterfalls and clear mountain streams
The mountain was our refuge, provided every need
V2
Packed my bags and hit the road one rainy summer night
For a job in the city, tall buildings and bright lights
Money was good but never could fit in
Just couldn’t wait to climb up those hills again
Pre chorus
Somethings coming over me, toss and turn all nite
Some kind of malady, words just can’t describe
Chorus
Must be..... mountain fever
can't be measured in degrees
Must be....mountain fever
Thats what's ailing me
Nothing runs deeper
Than this mountain fever
V3
Read through every book I know for a remedy
Doctors can’t figure out what is wrong with me
The cure in on that mountain, why I left I’ll never know
That simple way of life feeds the body, feeds the soul
