V) I remember Daddy and my brothers gathered round the table there
We all bowed our heads together and folded hands in prayer
And he thanked the Lord for blessings although we didn’t have a dime
And never gave a second thought to it at the time

sometimes lost in darkness, I can always find my way
I’m standing on the rock, there’s nothing I can’t face

V) I grew up and left my family, struck out on my own
Like a ship out on the ocean sailed into the great unknown
With storms on the horizon, I never lost my way
And grace as my compass led me to a brighter day
