Round The Christmas Tree

‘Round The Christmas Tree
@Jack Shannon/Rick Lang
V1
Snow is falling on the little twin square, dancing in Christmas lights
Children having trouble drifting off to sleep, for Santa Claus is coming tonight
Ruby wants a princess dress, Jackson a little toy truck
They’re asking how St Nick can slide on down the chimney without getting stuck
Chorus
Christmas is a special time, hearts are filled with glee
Laughing, singing sharing gifts ‘round the Christmas tree
With friends and family
V2
Tiny toy train going ‘round the tracks, to a little children’s delight
Grandpa’s sitting in his favorite chair, making smoke rings with his pipe
Decorated branches on the tree, paper snowflakes, popcorn strings
Smell the sweet fragrance in the air, of peppermint and evergreen
Chorus
V3
Mommas in the kitchen making tasty treats, sugar sprinkles red and green
Little men made of ginger bread, apple pies we can’t wait to eat
Daddy’s busy making a Christmas wreath to hang outside our door
Stringing blue lights on the holly bush, at night oh how they glow
