Sleepy Town Of Bethlehem

Sleepy Town Of Bethlehem
@Rick Lang/Troy Engle
V1
Strong in spirit hopes held high
They set out at first daylight
Across the mountains o'er the plains
Carrying the The Great I Am
To that sleepy town of Bethlehem
V2
They slowly made their way through to the town
Though darkened street no one around
Every place they went sent them away
They could fine no place to stay, but a manger and pile of hay
1st Chorus
Bethlehem oh Bethlehem that is where it all began
Birthplace of the Son Of Man, that sleepy town of Bethlehem
V3
Some shepherds were the only ones
To come and see the Chosen One
Some didn't care, some didn't know
That God had sent his Son below
In Bethlehem so long ago
Chorus
Bethlehem oh Bethlehem that is where it all began
Birthplace of the Son Of Man, that sleepy town of Bethlehem

If you were there way back then
Would you reach out and take them in or just turn your back on them
