While The World Was Sleeping

While The World Was Sleeping
@Natalie Cromwell/Rick Lang
Chorus
His throne became a manger that quiet Christmas night
A Savior not a stranger He came to be the light
No fanfare or great splendor
Just a simple humble greeting
While the world was sleeping
V1
Imagine how the shepherds felt when they saw that burst of light
A host Angels of hovered round on that starry starry night
Would they have known the King Of Kings was right within their midst
Could the prophesy be fulfilled like this?
V2
Imagine how those streets of gold were glistening that night
As heaven and the saints of old, looked down all mankind
Glory in the highest, let us praise the Prince Of Peace
They rejoiced while the world was fast asleep
Bridge
Our eyes had not been opened, our hearts were not awake
His birth became our hope, and The Truth, The Light, The Way
