Prayer Stop

Writer: Rick Lang

Lyrics

Prayer Stop
@Michelle Murray/Rick Lang
V1
A man who once had it all, hit bottom one dark night
The smell of whiskey on his breath, left his kids, a loving wife
Next morning as he sobered up, a voice called out to him
I'll take you back into the fold, when your free from sin
V2
He Stumbled into a church, fell down on the floor
Tears streaming from his eyes, pleading with the Lord
Made a Solemn promise, to help others find their way
Built this tiny refuge, where lost souls could kneel and pray
Chorus
It's just a little prayer stop sits beside the road
No bigger than a fruit stand, made of wood and stone
A shelter for the weary, lost and troubled souls
At this prayer stop sits beside the road (repeat)
V3
The mans prayers were answered, word spread far and wide
He offered hope and comfort to those who came inside
So many weary travelers once lost now were found
This little hut with plastic cross turned into sacred ground
