Ashes

ASHES
RONALD BRADLEY 2015

Old Job was a man who truly loved his God, and he served Him each and every day

But, old satan came along like the thief that he is, to steal all Job’s blessings away

Satan took his children, satan took his wealth, When there was nothing le to take he took his health

His friends came to his side, his wife said, “Curse your God and die.”

This is what Job had to say,

CHORUS:

“I WILL RISE FROM THE ASHES

I’LL SURPRISE EVERYONE

WHEN I RISE FROM THE ASHES

AND I SERVE MY GOD LIKE I’VE ALWAYS DONE”

Well, just like old Job, I love my God, and I try to serve Him each and every day

Just like old Job satan comes along and tries to steal my blessings away

He tries to take my health, my home and family, he throws all his ery darts at me

When he gives those darts a ing like Paul I nd a song to sing

This is what my song has to say,

CHORUS 2X

And I serve my God like I’ve always done

I will serve my God like I’ve always done
